Assistant Professor of Sports Marketing and Administration job at Northern State University

Responsibilities: Northern State University is inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Sports Marketing and Administration within the Department of Sports Science. Responsibilities include face-to-face and online teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment, undergraduate/graduate research, mentoring of graduate students, scholarly activities and service to the university and the community.

Qualifications: Candidates with a PhD in sports management/administration or a related field are preferred. ABDs who complete their degree prior to the appointment date will be considered. The candidate must be able to teach a wide variety of courses including, but not limited to, financial aspects of sport, sports law and ethics, sports marketing, sports leadership, sports issues contemporary sports and global aspects of sport. Qualified candidates must demonstrate experience using successful instructional strategies in a college classroom setting. Preference will be given to individuals with work experience in the sports industry and an ability to foster relationships with sports organizations.
