Avik Chatterjee becomes VP of Marketing for Star Sports, Marketing & Advertising News, ET BrandEquity

Star Sports (The Walt Disney Company) has appointed Avik Chatterjee as vice president and chief marketing officer.

He is a consumer marketing professional with 16 years of experience in strategic marketing and brand management roles in the consumer packaged goods, telecommunications, fintech and media industries.

Prior to that, Chatterjee worked at Visa as Director of Consumer Marketing for India and South Asia for four years. Here, he was responsible for leading the consumer marketing program through the planning and execution of integrated marketing strategies to grow Visa’s transactions and revenue. His role included brand and product communication, partnerships and promotions, managing deliverables through Visa’s creative, media, digital and other partner agencies.

He also worked with Vodafone as Deputy Managing Director for Consumer Segment Marketing. Chatterjee was responsible for designing and implementing consumer segment strategies for rural and high-value (HVC) customers for the telecommunications brand.

Chatterjee holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from Nanyang Business School, Singapore.
