Launch of a sports marketing agency | Yorkshire Business News

A new branding, marketing and public relations agency specializing in the sports and fitness industries has been launched within the Tried&True group.

CHEAT will offer marketing and public relations, content creation and management, SEO and web development services specifically tailored to clients in the sports industry.

The agency is launching with several clients already on board, including RugbyPass and its publications portfolio, Olympic athlete and world champion Sarah Stevenson and a business consultancy deal with former Premier League footballer Victor Anichebe.

It was founded by David Winskill and Mick Tilley. General Manager Winskill has overseen the growth and success of The Fly Project as Chief Operating Officer and has worked with athletes, teams and organizations from a multitude of sports.

Group chief executive Tilley has over a decade of experience in the marketing industry and is the founder of Harrogate-based digital agency Tried&True.

David Winskill said: “I’m so excited to start this new adventure and with the interest we’ve already seen ahead of launch, I expect 2022 to be the year of CHEAT.

“My approach is and always has been to build a culture that allows people to thrive and do their thing while having fun along the way and Mick pretty much agrees.

“We want to do things differently, we want customers to not only feel, but know that they are being marketed in a way unique to their needs. And with our attitude towards data-driven marketing, we can help customers reach wider and more relevant audiences.”
