Enniscorthy Rugby Football Club looking to nominate head coach for their AIL 1st XV for the 2021/22 season.

Over the past few years, Enniscorthy RFC has succeeded in developing some of the best facilities and support structures in Irish rugby.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious coach to make his mark on a club with a proud rugby history in south-east Leinster.

Goal

Lead the senior rugby agenda within the club. Work in conjunction with the Rugby Director and Team Leadership to create processes, training plans and an environment that will enable players to be successful on and off the pitch.

Qualifications

  • IRFU (Stage 4) Performance Coach Award or equivalent

Main responsibilities

  • Lead the coaching program for the senior team and ensure alignment with minor players and coaches.
  • Work and develop a recruiting group to identify and assess potential new players.
  • Develop a winning culture with game plans and training strategies focused on achieving optimal player results on game day.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions for the senior team ensuring that all sessions are designed to develop player skills and understanding.
  • Lead and implement AIL game day processes in conjunction with team management.
  • Evaluate, analyze and reflect on all coaching sessions and games with the coaching team and players.
  • Attend all coaching sessions and games involved with the club’s senior team and, if possible, be visible at underage games.
  • Supervise and advise coaches and players within the club.
  • Provide feedback to coaches, players and appropriate club committees.
  • Lead the team culture, working with other team leaders to ensure the team is organized, disciplined and has a positive team spirit, ensuring the team is proud of themselves- even, his club and his sponsors.
