San Angelo Central tennis team take District 2-6A title undefeated

The San Angelo Central High School tennis team won the District 2-6A Championship with a 12-7 road victory over Frenship in Wolfforth on Friday.

This is the Bobcats’ first district title under the direction of fourth-year head coach Brent Abilez and assistant Brianah Creek.

The Bobcats will open the playoffs in a bidistrict game against El Paso Eastwood. It is tentatively set for noon Tuesday at the Bush Tennis Center in Midland.
